Elizabeth Woodcock's CV

Elizabeth Woodcock is the founder and principal of Woodcock & Associates. She has focused on medical group operations and revenue cycle management for more than 20 years. She has led educational sessions for the Medical Group Management Association, the American Congress of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, and the American Medical Association, and consulted for clients as diverse as a solo orthopaedic surgeon in rural Georgia to The Mayo Clinic. She is author of Front Office Success, Mastering Patient Flow, and co-author of The Physician Billing Process: Avoiding Potholes in the Road to Getting Paid and Operating Policies and Procedures Manual for Medical Practices. She is frequently published and quoted in national publications including The Wall Street Journal, Family Practice Management, MGMA Connexion and American Medical News.

She has worked as Group Practice Services Administrator at the University of Virginia Health Services Foundation, as a long-time consultant for the Medical Group Management Association, and as Director of Knowledge Management for Physicians Practice, Inc.

Elizabeth is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives and a Certified Professional Coder. In addition to a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University, she completed a Master of Business Administration in healthcare management from The Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania.

Deborah Walker Keegan, PhD, FACMPE

Deborah Walker Keegan's CV

Deborah Walker Keegan has more than 25 years of experience as a health care consultant and practice administrator. She helps medical practices improve their financial and business operations and enhance practice productivity and efficiency.

For over a decade she has been working with health care clients in all facets of medical practice operations. Prior to that time Deborah personally managed medical practices, overseeing practice operations, designing ambulatory health care facilities, managing professional fee billing operations, implementing information systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, and planning and managing teaching and research programs. Deborah received her PhD from the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management and her MBA and BA degrees from UCLA, and she is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives.

Deborah is a nationally recognized consultant, author, and keynote speaker. She has co-authored three best-selling books on critical topics in the health care field:

  • "Physician Compensation Plans: State-of-the-Art Strategies;" (authored by Johnson & Walker Keegan)
  • "The Physician Billing Process: Avoiding Potholes in the Road to Getting Paid;" (authored by Walker, Larch, and Woodcock); and
  • "Rightsizing: Appropriate Staffing for Your Medical Practice," (authored by Walker and Gans).
